Atlantic Dawn

Sea Freezing

The Atlantic Dawn Group have owned and operated sea-freezing vessels since 1987 when the first ‘Veronica’ vessel was built in Norway. Freezing at sea allows the company to target fisheries in more remote regions where fishing opportunities exist. The onboard freezing facilities ensure that the fish are frozen immediately after catching. Vertical plate freezing stations are used to achieve a core temperature of -28deg in less than three hours. After freezing the cargo is stored on board in the vessels on board cold rooms.
